Art produced in Latin America is of growing interest among collectors, foundations, galleries and museums.  This interest is being showcased in Europe in the second edition of the PINTA Festival in London of Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art.  More than 120 artists, both emerging and known, and 50 galleries from the Americas and Europe are showing their work in the British Capital starting today.

The PINTA Art Fair was born in New York in 2007 and last year decided to jump to London to “promote Latin American Art in difficult places”, according to president Alejandor Zaia who continued to explain that they needed to make the leap to the “old continent” because London is the epicenter of the art market in Europe and other continents.

Some of the Latin American artists include:

Fernando Botero (Columbia), Regina Silveira (Brazil), Waltercio Caldas (Brazil), Eduardo Costa (Argentina), Felipe Ehrenberg (Mexico), Luis González Palma (Guatemala), Fernando Gutiérrez (Spain) and Joaquín Cociña (Chile).

The PINTA Latin American Art Fair will be in London from June 6-9.
