The Instituto Cervantes has finally completed the process of updating the new DELE exams for 2015 along with the job of adapting the test to the new CEFR (Common European Frameword of Reference for Languages) guidelines.

One of the changes that has been presented is a redesigned series of tests designed for younger students under the age of 18, who want to validate their A1, A2 and B1 level of Spanish. These tests for kids will be held exclusively in May and will be done one day prior to the normal test for adults.

The Instituto Cervantes has published a guide for the A1 exam for young people with plenty of descriptions and explanations about the structure and content of the new exam. Additionally, they have included explanations and the linguistic purpose of each aspect of the new test.

We feel that his guide can be very useful to primary school teachers that are teaching Spanish and foresee the possibility of their students participating in the upcoming DELE exam.

In addition to using the children's A1 sample test as a teaching tool, we recommend that you read the exam guide and take advantage to the fullest what it has to offer for preparing younger students for the upcoming DELE exam.

We recommend that you read the exam guide and take advantage to the fullest what it has to offer for preparing younger students for the upcoming DELE exam.
