Spanglish is a modern phenomenon which seems to be taking over a large part of Spanish-speaking USA!

 

Ejemplo:

 

Anita: Hola, good morning, cómo estás?

Mark: Well, y tú?

Anita: Todo bien.  Pero tuve problemas parqueando mi carro this morning.

Mark: Sí, I know.  Siempre hay problemas parqueando in el área at this time.

 

 

My question to you readers is…Do people ACTUALLY talk like this??

Meine Lieblingsstadt ist Salamanca in Spanien. Ich habe letztes Jahr in Salamanca Spanisch studiert, und ich habe es so geliebt. Ich habe eine absolut erstaunliche Zeit verbracht, und am wichtigsten, ich habe so viel gelernt. Ich fühlte mich wie in der Zeit zurück versetzt. Als wär´ ich im einem Märchen. Haven’t you always wanted to know just where the OLDEST lighthouse in the world is??
Well, even if you haven’t, this is an interesting fact I think you should know. The oldest existing lighthouse in the world is La Torre de Hercules located in La Coruña, in Galicia, Spain. They say this lighthouse dates back to ca. 20BC!!! Imagine everything that this lighthouse has seen!
